They Look Kinda Familiar - Am I the only one who thinks the new Pokemon look like the game artists have finally given up and started aping Digimon? None of these funky new Pokemon have that same charm the original 151 had.

Now, I enjoyed SoulSilver. That was pretty good - mostly for its retro charm. But Diamond and Pearl were horrid - they couldn't manage to hold my interest at all - the series really needs some form of innovation. Thus far the most innovative thing they've announced for Black and White is 3-on-3 battles, which really isn't all that innovative.

I say bring back the Colloseum-type games. Colloseum was epic - instead of a plucky, generic ten year old, you play an ex-gang member who starts the game by stealing the prototype Pokemon-stealer device and blows up his base, riding his motorbike off into the desert sunset with his Umbreon and Espion riding in the sidecar. Awesome. More of those, please Nintendo.

Youd be chewing Nintendo out even more if you had seen the starter pokemon for Black and White (if you have, you know my pain) I mean seriously, the starter pokemon look like they just took some random pokemon and merged them together!!

I think Pokemon has lost its appeal, at least the newer games. I'll stick the the first three generations until they can actually impress me.

I agree, the new fifth gen looks downright horrible. I get my info from serebii.net and all they've shown me are progressively worse looking pokemon.

On the other hand Johto was my favorite region so being able to play through it all again was a wonderful diversion from school work.

The last pokemon game I ever played was Gold..... Yeah...

I got bored very quickly with the games. Start off visiting a professor with a tree name, find a person who picks the opposite type to yours as a rival, defeat all the gym leaders and take on a terrorist organisation that wants to get as many pokemon as possible, whilst trying to get as many legendaries for yourself, that EVERYBODY else has already.

Batpig is a legendary. I'd better save a master ball for it.

@Krin-Krea: Yeah, I look at serebii too, and compared with some of the new pokemon, a batpig is like a Mew.

How am I supposed to take this seriously when you can't even spell "Espeon" or "Colosseum" correctly?
